James Fresh As A Daisy The Singles. (to rival 1998’s Best Of) in the form of the double CD Fresh As A Daisy: The Singles. As its name suggests, this is all about the hits rather than the personal favourites and picks up the story of the whole career.

James is an English rock band from Manchester, which was formed in 1982 and enjoyed popularity throughout the 1990s. The band's best-known singles include 'Come Home', 'Sit Down', 'She's a Star' and 'Laid', which also became a hit on American college radio.
Following the departure of lead singer Tim Booth in 2001, the band became inactive, but reunited in January 2007 and has gone on to produce a further three albums, cementing their reputation as one of the most iconic live British bands. James's hit single Come Home was voted the greatest ever Manchester anthem in a radio poll. Live performance has continually remained a central part of the band's output.
As of 2010, the band had sold more than 25 million albums worldwide and are regarded as one of the most influential non credited pioneers of the Manchester music scene, having had bands The Stone Roses and Happy Mondays as support acts during the 1980s

Fresh as a Daisy – The Singles is a compilation album by English rock band James issued on Mercury in 2007.
The album was released in two editions; a single CD containing most of the singles the group recorded for Mercury (Runaground, Jam J and We're Going to Miss You are omitted) and a 2 disc edition listed on the cover sticker as 'The Complete Singles Collection 1983 - 2007'. This version collects the group's two releases for Factory, their 4 singles for Sire and debut album track Johnny Yen in addition to their Mercury work. However, it is not actually complete as it omits the original 1989 version of 'Sit Down' recorded for Rough Trade, the 1998 remix of the same song by Apollo Four Forty and features album versions of Seven and We're Going to Miss You rather than the alternate versions used on the single releases. Both versions feature two new songs, Who Are You and Chameleon. The album charted at number 12 in its week of release.
